Courtney Carlson

Courtney Carlson is a Program Associate in ICL’s eastern office. She joined the staff in March 2004 and currently manages several initiatives including: Strengthening Ohio Leaders and Organizations (SOLO), Strengthening Organizations and Leaders for the Environment – Southeast (SOLE-SE), the North Carolina Fundraising Capacity Initiative, and the Environmental Capacity Builders Network in which ICL is a member organization.
Additionally, Courtney is the editor of ICL’s newsletter, The Network, and enjoys leading group sessions on topics including campaign planning and organizational benchmarking and sustainability. She is also a member of the team leading the 2008-2009 Complete Fundraiser Program in North Carolina.
Courtney brings a deep commitment to social and environmental justice and significant nonprofit program management experience. Prior to joining ICL she served as the International Program Coordinator of Mercy Volunteer Corps where she developed and managed the international volunteer program for five years. She earned her B.A. from Creighton University and a M.A. from the University of Dayton. Courtney enjoys yoga and hiking on a regular basis – and globetrotting whenever she can. She and her husband live in Washington, DC
