Jennifer Grove ascended to the top job after four and a half years with Northwest SEED, a group based in Seattle with an 8-year track record in serving communities across the Pacific Northwest to help implement clean energy initiatives. Jennifer attended ICL’s Executive Director Leadership program to help get her started in her new role.

The program’s emphasis on engaging the board, managing finances, and connecting with peers all had a significant impact on her first year as executive director. “It was a huge eye-opening experience to realize I didn’t have to carry this all on my own,” said Jennifer. Based on what she learned at ICL, she focused on building her board.

“The transformation was phenomenal. In a challenging year, we were able to keep the organization afloat and anticipate the ‘what’s next’ scenario,” said Jennifer.
