Mississippi River/Dakotas Complete Fundraiser Program

Tuition

The program tuition is $9,600 USD including: three workshops (8 total days of training), the 200 page Complete Fundraiser Companion resource manual and other materials, meals and lodging in a double room during the workshops, three days (24 hours) of consulting and coaching support including an optional onsite visit, and on-going conference calls and peer support.  Workshop, meals and lodging are included for one additional staff or board member per organization to attend the first and third workshops.

Reduced tuition for eligible organizationsThanks to generous support from the McKnight Foundation and the Bush Foundation, participants from the core states along the Mississippi River as well as North and South Dakota are eligible for a reduced tuition rate as follows (based on your organization’s annual budget):

If you do not qualify for the reduced fee and are interested in discussing some outside resources to support your participation in the Complete Fundraiser Program, please contact Brad Webb at brad@icl.org.

There is a non-refundable application fee of $250 due along with the application form on February 23, 2007 (if you are not accepted into the program, your application fee will be refunded). Upon acceptance, your application fee will be applied to the program tuition.  Full payment is required within two weeks of acceptance.

Cancellation Policy: For cancellations more than 30 days prior to the first workshop of a long-term program, ICL will refund the balance of tuition paid less the non-refundable application fee. ICL provides no refund for cancellation within one month of the first workshop or at any time during the course of the program. A $30 fee will be charged for any returned check.

How to Apply

Applications are due February 23, 2007.

Download and complete the application form.  Submit it along with your non-refundable $250 application fee by February 23, 2007 (we’ll return your application fee if you’re not accepted to the program or it is full to capacity). The application fee is applied toward your tuition upon acceptance.  Please submit the completed application form and requested organizational materials to Brad Webb at brad@icl.org.  Payment instructions for the application fee are on the application form.

Training Team

Kim Gilliam, ICL Consultant, is a full-time consultant specializing in major gifts and capital campaign fundraising.  For 14 years, Kim was Chief Development Officer at the Southern Environmental Law Center, where he built a nationally recognized major gifts program that generated approximately 50% of the organization's $5M budget. 

Amy O’Connor, ICL Consultant, is President of Integrated Development Consulting.  Previously, Amy served as Membership Director of the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.  During her tenure SUWA’s membership grew from 1,000 to over 20,000 while Amy worked on membership recruitment, retention and upgrade.  Amy’s areas of expertise include comprehensive development planning, strategic planning, major donor stewardship, board development, membership recruitment and cultivation, and communication.

Brad Webb, ICL Program Associate, has worked extensively on organizational change and has considerable experience in program development and management of nonprofits. He has worked for numerous educational organizations, including Outward Bound as Director of Professional Development Programs.  Brad also manages ICL’s Executive Director Leadership Program.
