Complete Fundraiser Program

A year long program of training and support to help organizations diversify their income, increase revenue, and develop more systematic fundraising throughout the organization.  Through three workshops and ongoing coaching and consulting support, participants gain fundraising skills and strategies to help lead their organizations in implementing new fundraising efforts.

The 2008-2009 Complete Fundraiser begins February 17-21, 2008. The early application due date is December 7, 2007.

Program Goals

The Complete Fundraiser Program takes an organization-wide approach to fundraising and building your organization’s capacity to raise money.  During the program you will:

  • Assess your organization’s readiness for fundraising
  • Build personal and organizational skills to raise funds including
    • developing relationships with donors
    • building a membership program
    • sustaining a major donor program
    • strengthening links between programmatic outcomes with funding opportunities
    • involving your whole organization in fundraising, including the board

  • Identify and track key indicators of fundraising effectiveness to measure performance and set priorities
  • Develop and implement a fundraising plan to diversify income and increase revenue

What Previous Participants say about the Complete Fundraiser Program:

“[As Executive Director,] I started out having to do everything without a skill set in anything…  The Complete Fundraiser Program really took me to a totally different place.  I think now I can say that part of my skill set is fundraising… I understand the difference between assessing readiness, looking at membership, looking at major donors, and balancing income sources…  I feel much more comfortable.  It really demystified for us what fundraising is about.” -- Dulcie Flaharty, Executive Director, Montgomery County Lands Trust, PA

“I wanted to learn about how to be a staff fundraising professional.  What I found when I got there was a really galvanizing experience – meeting  other people in the workshop, absorbing like a sponge the classroom sessions with the consultants –  it was really a revolutionary experience for me and it made me want to commit a good chunk of my future to this organization and raising money for it.” -- Adam Blackburn, Trustee, Hunterdon Land Trust Alliance, NJ
