DESCRIPTION:FREE REGISTRATION BELOW!\n\n\n\n  \nJoin this free community event and meet two authors from the Tools to Save Our Home Planet: A Changemaker’s Guidebook\, Patagonia’s new comprehensive primer for safe and effective activism\, featuring best advice from 56 leading activists. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nSupervisor Andres Jimenez\, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors\, Mason District\n\nAndres Jimenez\, the proud son of Colombian immigrants\, grew up in West Virginia and has lived in Mason District with his wife\, Shanna\, for more than a decade. Today\, as the first Latino and immigrant Supervisor for Mason District\, he is dedicated to building a more inclusive\, sustainable\, and opportunity-rich Fairfax County. \nWith experience on Capitol Hill\, in New York City government\, and in leadership roles at major environmental organizations including Green 2.0\, Andres has spent his career fighting for equity\, environmental justice\, and community empowerment. On the Board of Supervisors\, he works to support working families\, expand opportunity\, and protect our shared future. \n\n\n\n\n\nDianne Russell\, President of the Institute for Conservation Leadership \nDianne brings over 40 years of experience of leading a nonprofit and working with thousands of groups and agencies who work on environmental and community-based issues. She has played the role of process designer\, meeting facilitator\, coach\, backbone staff\, evaluator\, and foundation advisor with over 45 collaborative efforts across the U.S. and Canada. \n\nDianne is a proud Marylander and lives in Prince Georges County with her wife/sweetie and a rambunctious standard poodle.
